Bâlea Lake is a glacial lake, located at an altitude of 2,034 meters in the Făgăraș Mountains, Sibiu County.
Bâlea Lake has been declared a natural monument, being considered one of the most beautiful and largest glacial lakes in Romania.
TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN

A magical road, with a unique and spectacular view through the Făgăraș Mountains.
The Transfăgărășan connects the two historical provinces of Muntenia and Transylvania, having a length of 152 km.
The Transfăgărășan usually opens on June 1st and closes on November 1st. Outside this period, the road is closed.
